Free Admission to the Museum + the Opportunity to Participate in the continuing Silent Art Auction. All bids must be in by Sunday November 24. PMA is open Wednesdays through Sundays, 11am to 5pm. Closed Monday/Tuesday.
The Peninsula Museum of Art is proud of our record showcasing Greater Bay Area talent, including both emerging and established artists, for the past fifteen years. Our quarterly free exhibitions expand the audience for regional contemporary art and educate our community. We partner with Congresswoman Jackie Speier to showcase art created by youth from our area, and we provide free tours and art information to all kinds of specialty groups.
Yet now PMA is facing a challenge common to many local nonprofits: rising real-estate values and displacement. We were notified by our owners that we're to move out by April, 2020 and are actively looking for a new home. We are working on a few leads (any more would be appreciated) and are raising funds to assist with our relocation and support our free programs.
Due to these unexpected challenges, we are hosting a fundraising exhibition featuring the opportunity to purchase donated art at Buy It Now prices or bid on them via silent auction.
Artwork by PMA alumni exhibitors will fill the museum galleries and be offered for sale to benefit the museum.
The exhibition and concurrent silent auction will continue every day through Sunday November 24.
