Kaye Bonney is a Bay Area artist who loves working with watercolor because of the fluidity and changeability of the medium.  She especially enjoys playing with contrasts between light and dark, rough and smooth, bold and subtle.  Her paintings are primarily local landscapes where she tries to capture the spirit of the place.  She also enjoys painting still-life arrangements featuring colorful fruit or flowers that show the lushness and brevity of life.  Many of Kaye's abstract paintings are based upon real things that have caught her eye, such as the bark of a tree, a pile of brush, or water running over rocks.
