The Main Gallery announces its joint show featuring artists Patricia Brandt and Karen Olson. The show opens July 31 and closes September 8.  A reception will be held at the Gallery on August 3, 2019 from 6 pm to 8:30 pm.

Brandt’s “Madonna With Birds” features images of Mary, the Mother of Mercy, lovingly adorned with paper and fabric from Italy, gems, and embroidery. Three months of art study in Florence inspired her deeper appreciation for the devotional art of the Renaissance. Proceeds from the sale of Brandt’s pieces will be donated to help the needy in Redwood City.

Olson’s “Equus” is inspired by her lifelong love affair with horses, riding with Icelandic farmers and gathering herds from summer meadows to winter at the farms, and her recent training in natural horsemanship.  A portion of Olson’s sales will be donated to Return To Freedom, a sanctuary ranch for rescued wild horses and burros near Lompoc.
