Catherine Dellor studied commercial art in college and ornamental horticulture. She now fulfills her love of the botanical world by trying to capture it with "plant portraits." She works mostly in watercolor but also likes colored pencil and pen and ink. Catherine holds a Master Certificate from the San Francisco Botanical Garden program under Mary Harden and sits on the board of the American Society of Botanical Artists. She has exhibited with groups at several local venues including Filoli, UC Berkeley Botanical Garden, Marin Art and Garden Center, and UCSF.  She has three pieces in each of the Alcatraz and Mt. Tam Florilegiums, and her work is held in several private collections.
