The Main Gallery presents Jean Thrift’s ANIMALIA and Sydell Lewis’ ILLUSIONS as part of its ongoing exhibitions of contemporary local artists. This joint exhibition opens September 11 and closes October 13.  A reception open to the public will be held on September 14 from 6 PM to 8:30 PM.

Thrift explains,  “ANIMALIA is a colorful whimsical world where I attempt to capture the essence and energy of these endangered species. I want to shed light on the wonder we have to lose. In ILLUSIONS, Lewis creates “an illusionary space with abstract and natural forms, rich in color and visual textures that allude to our natural environment.“

The Main Gallery, located at 1018 Main Street in Redwood City, is open Wednesday through Sunday 9 AM to 3 PM and Friday evenings from 5 PM to 8 PM through September 27.
