LIVERMORE, Calif. (AP) — FormFactor Inc. (FORM) on Wednesday reported third-quarter profit of $22.9 million.

On a per-share basis, the Livermore, California-based company said it had net income of 29 cents. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to 39 cents per share.

The results beat Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of four analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 36 cents per share.

The integrated circuits diagnostic company posted revenue of $178 million in the period.

For the current quarter ending in December, FormFactor expects its per-share earnings to range from 35 cents to 43 cents.

The company said it expects revenue in the range of $178 million to $190 million for the fiscal fourth quarter.

FormFactor shares have climbed almost 8% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, shares hit $27.97, a rise of 28% in the last 12 months.
