SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP) — Bloom Energy Corp. (BE) on Thursday reported a loss of $34.9 million in its third quarter.
The San Jose, California-based company said it had a loss of 30 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to 1 cent per share.
The results beat Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of six analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of 1 cent per share.
The developer of fuel cell systems posted revenue of $233.5 million in the period, which also beat Street forecasts. Four analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $230.8 million.
In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, the company's shares hit $4.30. A year ago, they were trading at $18.01.
