We the residents of San Mateo have made some bad choices and now we are paying for it. Everytime I see our elected officials acting and saying stupidities I can name a few, Foulcrault, Hill, and now Munk and some I rather not name "yet" leaves me numb.
We will eventually have to have a replacement. Hummm.. what to do? WHO will it be? Can we do something about making some of these Elected positions into Hirings? That way Termination is an option. Si? |

You know who’s really to blame for all this? The limo driver.
What I’ve learned is that Las Vega’s limo drivers don’t know where the good massage parlors are. Had the limo driver taken our Sheriff and Undersheriff to a legitimate business (the best our taxes could afford) none of this would have happened. We would not be any wiser. Ignorance is bliss. I will get the paperwork together to have this man fired. He’ll never drive a limo again as far as I’m concerned. Who’s with me? |

Michael,
A site needs to be put online to get out the word and provide information. San Mateo County covers a lot of territory so you need to get out the word and organize. |

i agree and can use all the help, so any ideas are greatly appreciated. Also I see many people around the County are having the same conversation. The important thing for now is to let Greg Munks know that if he does not resign he will face recall. That I and others promise I am targeting for next thursday to have the signatures to file. I would like to have discussions for replacement names. Trisha Sanchez is our highest ranking female Sheriff Deputy, she is responsible for the Maquire Jail currently. I would like to know if she is interested and qualified... let me know your thoughts |

Trisha Sanchez would be an excellent choice, and very fitting as a replacement for Munks in view of the fact that Munks was caught at a place where women are routinely degraded. Munks and his ilk at the Sheriff's Office must learn to have more respect for women. The best way to send them that message would be for the voters of San Mateo County to replace him with a woman Sheriff. Last edited by wilburt : 04-27-2007 at 04:45 AM. |

I think having Trisha Sanchez as Sheriff would be better for the women in our jails and the children in Hillcrest...Safer at least. Also she has experience arresting our County Manager at an Adult Bookstore only to have our District Attorney James P. Fox fail to do the job he was elected to do and lie about it later to reporter Jean Whitney. She knows what it is like to see corruption in San Mateo County and not be able to do anything about it. Lets find out if she is interested. |

I respectfully disagree with the Union that represents 400 deputies, correctional officers and others.
http://www.redwoodcitydailynews.com/...07-smc-sheriff praise for their integrity and abilities...What means this? Integrity?...They refuse to answer simple questions. "There have been no calls by anyone in a position of power for an investigation into the facts surrounding the incident." I am not calling for an investigation, I am filing a notice of Intent for RECALL. I don't want these two fine gentleman around our women, girls and boys in our jails. They were found in a house of Human Trafficking. |

Cute Trick...... Instead, both the sheriff and undersheriff's offices have directed all questions to spokeswoman Lt. Lisa Williams, who has said she doesn't know details of the brothel incident. |
