This week means absolutely what you would like it to mean. Circumstances will happen BEYOND and in spite of your "control", the point???? Dont' spend your energy trying (that's right I said trying) to contorl circumstances. Instead your effot and energy will yield more for you and your growth if you focus on bringing empowering meaning TO those circumstances instead. I was given a great question to ask myself when it comes to taking action. Am I making this decision out of faith or am I making this decision out of fear?
A WEEK's WORTH OF FOCUS
When you have done your best, await the result in peace.
PEACE that's right, peace. It feels good, is good for you, and serves the common good as well. This week is not about a last ditch effort to improve what you have been doing, this focus point is to remind you of the power of consistency. Last week was Jack Lalanne's 95th birthday, Happy Birthday sir! HIS advice for health and fitness, consistency is the key. I read this and thought "WOW what great timing." Here is a man that at 95 still spends the first hours of his day training. Each day what do I do? Just ask yourself THIS questions. When you commit yourself to daily walking a path that at days end you are able to look back on and say you did your best you'll find long term success. Nothing less than my best might be a great mantra to adopt this week.
The measurements of a fitness test have no power in themselves, they are circumstances, but what I DO with them does (the meaning I bring)! If they spur me to really put my head in the game and give my best, not best effort but best output, that is my power showing through. This IS not about self-help, its about self response ability.
You've got to really measure yourself WHILE training, and do different. When you change then everything will change for you. Trying is only an attempt that measures effort and is why my focus point is when you have DONE your best, rather than when you try your best. SO take this message to heart and GO FOR IT! Can you try to walk through the door? You cannot, there is only do or do not walk through the door.
I am made humble by a man like Jack Lalanne, sure he's got plenty of critics, I am learning that not too many successful people are without them, but I tell you if at age 95 he decides to swim to Catalina Island(almost 20 miles) as his Birthday Fitness challenge, I am going to sit up and take notes when he gives advice. See it's not about making it to the finish line, its about celebrating on the way and when you get there! Will YOU have the energy?
My advice, "Do you best, and don't sweat the rest" See you soon!
have a Powerfilled day!!!
