Memo to all 49er fans: The team has the same record after two games as it did last year. Yes, the offense has improved dramatically, but the defense is still in horrible shape. If they win more than four games, I'll be shocked.

Oh don't be such a rainy cloud. The Niners will easily win more than four games. They get Arizona, the Packers, the raiders, and vikes at home. Plus they play KC, Detroit, New Orleans and St Louis on the road. The benefits of a bad record is a weak schedule.

I think they'll win more than 4. I predicted 8 during the preseason. They won't get there but 5 should be a realistic shot.
