There is another major area, largely ignored, that at some point must be faced. It involves the serious distortion of the official Security Council record by the profligate use by the United States of its veto power. In 29 separate cases between 1972 and 1991, the United States has vetoed resolutions critical of Israel. Except for the U.S. veto, these resolutions would have passed and the total number of resolutions against Israel would now equal 95 instead of 66.
Israeli lobbyists and conservative Christian fundamentalists have in effect censored all free discussion of Israel and the Middle East in the USA. In the US everyone who accurately reports the brutalities of Israel's military offensive in the occupied Palestinian territories and the illegal occupation will be vilified as an anti-Semite.
The Arab-Israeli war is an American War with American-Jewish soldiers fighting with American weapons for the American territory of an American colony, Israel. America's fanatical Jewish loyalty to Israel is therefore also dangerous to the whole world.

And yet SOMEHOW the U.N. managed to pass a resolution defining Zionism as racism. Wonder how THAT happened?

Must really bug you that the US really does stand up against so many oppresive murderous countries that would like Israel wiped off the map. Seems that you would follow the votes of such luminous countries as Sudan, Iran, Zimbabwe, and Libya. For me I'm glad we have the fortitude to say NO you will not destroy this small country-period.

Yes, how terrible we support a country like Israel which is surrounded by a set of totalitarian regimes who do little in this world except export terrorism and fear.
Israel is such an evil state. That's why these Hezbolah folks went across the border, kidnapped people, and started launching rockets. Because the Hezbolah are such sweet and loving people who have nothing in their hearts but the good of their fellow man.
The real crime in all this is that we help pay for their criminal behaviors by buying their oil. In 1973, when these countries first started up with their activities, we should have pulled the plug on their money flow then. It's now much worse, and it's also now even more important to do it.

As usual you are 100% incorrect in your analysis and support of the terrorist backed states of the middle east. The arab-israeli wars have always been started by the arab states or terrorists and when Israel RIGHTFULY retaliates people of low education always attack Israel as the perpetrator and the "bad guy," rather then the real bad guys...so you will understand Ted, the real bad guys are the Islamofascists....the reason my family left the middle east years ago...
