At least Larry Ellison and Bill Gates, both college drop outs, have created more jobs and an industry that has done more for this country and its employees than just take away an income that may have been poorly invested on conspicuous consumption leading to homelessness. There is a form of Bacon in there somewhere, as we will see in Ellison and Gates....

Chances are, you are a college graduate or college dropout, but not a high school dropout. I would not begrudge how Ellison or Gates their toys or philanthropies; they earned it, invested it and created jobs with both of their entrepreneurship and with their purchase of toys. So what is it that Bacon really wants - it really isn't about a job and a home? If it were, then the attitude and whining and feeling of rejection has to change!

Ellison's competitiveness may be more combative than Gates; hence, his need for risk in sports such as sailing and other related interests and maybe that isn't bad. Gates is inwardly reflective too, but his challenge is worldly representing the poor and solving health problems that face everyone regardless of economic status. Both are selfish - one form is seen as arrogant; the other as a socially conscious. However, I have not yet figured where Bacon performs in this selfishness equation. At least he has a line to stand in and an entitlement for unemployment benefits and job assistance paid for by employers and employees!

Vive la difference! It is what make people interesting... and may make for being employed or involved in constructive activities or becoming a member of the truly disadvantaged. Hopefully Bacon will go from "a mess to success."
