Hurried

I wanted to add my two cents to the prop 7 debate. It is my understanding that we progressives agree that we need to become energy independent and rely more upon clean renewable energy. I am having a difficult time understanding the opposition to this proposition. It has everyone sounding like hypocrites.
The recent article in this journal made some sense as I read through it - I have heard the argument about the exclusion of small energy providers (although I also understand that it is untrue), but I was completely lost and disappointed when the Sierra Club spokesperson said that a better plan then speeding up our transmission to clean renewable energy is to :
"“promote the widespread production of battery electric hybrids” and other popular alternative energies, Magvern said."
1. What a contradiction to solving America's global warming problem! Battery electric hybrids are such a small solution to a big problem. Also these batteries are wasteful and harmful to the environment once they run out.
2. prop 7 does include popular solar and wind energies.
So, those are my two cents. I am very disappointed in the Sierra Club's analysis and would have liked better.
