Spare the Air

Anybody read today’s SF Chronicle? Page B1 has an article about Winter wood smoke pollution. The BAAQMB is considering a Bay Area wide proposal to ban wood fires on “Spare the Air” days.

The article indicates that 33% of dangerous particulate pollution is generated by wood burning fireplaces & stoves (as compared to 23% by on-road vehicles and 20% by off-road vehicles).

The ban reflects studies that show breathing wood smoke is as bad as second hand cigarette smoke. Some studies indicate it is as much as 12 times more harnful!

The BAAQMB proposal reflects ordinances passed by many of our sister cities and will include enforcement in the form of fines for repeat offenders. If you recall, given this information, the San Mateo city council refused to enact a local wood smoke ordinance...

I haven’t been just “blow’n smoke” on this issue for the past 3-1/2 years…

I want the stupid commie/Nazis to STOP running around telling people what the do. Period. If people want to use their fireplace, the political gangsters and stupid idiots MUST keep their filthy mouths SHUT.

I propose a law: every single person that wants to blow smoke must pay a 100k fine, or shut the hell up. This goes for the girlie boy and jezebels that talk crap about lawn mowers and whatever.

SHUT UP. PERIOD.

So called law makers, STOP making stupid laws. And get a real job, and you, too, shut up. It's NOT democracy running around constantly making laws that fail to work or follow Bolshevik/nazi ideology.

Want to do something: get the political gangsters out of DC and close down our 1000 military bases around the world; close down the IRS; get rid of the Fed Reserve, a private corp; have the country treat other countries with simple respect; return schools to local control; get rid of Bolshivik/Nazi curriculum in schools, and return schools morality while flushing pagan curriculum down the toilet.

That will keep you busy, but no, you love your filth, right?

Well, that's reasonable. You don't live around here, do you? Just curious.

There are two reasons for smoking bans and neither of them are about health

1. Quarantine/isolate the smoker

2. De-normalize smoking.

Unfortunately the hospitality industry is caught in the cross-fire

Mayor and council were elected to run the city's business, not the businesses of the city.
Council is not in the health business and shouldn't be.
