While our county leadership attempts to lure new administraters with low interest mortgages, they apparently felt obgligated yesterday to acknowlege the problems some common taxpayers may be having just keeping their homes.
Pressure must have been exerted from those voters laboring to keep a roof over their kids heads at 5,6,7% and higher, while digging in their pockets to keep the fat cats housed at a meager 4.whatever. The Board of Supervisors asked the bankers for a 3-month moratorium on forclosures.
At the end of Supervisor Rose Jacobs Gibson's presentation, Supervisor and busy candidate Jerry Hill suggested that she make phone calls and even visits to mortgage bankers in the county.
MY COMMENT - TAKE A MINUTE OR TWO OFF FROM CAMPAIGNING FOR A HIGHER OFFICE AND FINISH YOUR JOB HERE - GIVE THE LADY A LITTLE HELP.
