The current leadership in San Mateo is criminal! This comment is in response to Gene Klein's letter to the editor who states that the current bozo incumbents have done such a great job in voting to demolish Bay Meadows. Gene you really need to stay in Hillborough with your acres and mansions where there is no high density housing. You say you are a business owner in San Mateo and that doesn't give you a legal vote here. That means you make your money in San Mateo and most likely at the exploitation of others, I will quess that you are a land developer. Don't try to give the residents who live in San Mateo any advice please.

Give Jack Matthews and John Lee the BOOT!!!! Vote for new blood in San Mateo and against the incumbents.

Couldn't agree with Goldig more - just FYI, Gene Klein has his business in the old rolladium across from DMV, another piece of San Mateo's entertainment (especially for our young) gone in the name of business interests and progress instead.

I voted. I used the new voting machines. My god, they have a terrible user interface.

I hope the incumbents get voted out. I have no idea if they will, but they simply do not deserve to remain in office.

I wonder if the project can even move forward, with the bottom falling out of the real estate market. But then, in this area, housing is always at a premium.
