Where will WE go in case of a major catastrophy? Our local current City Council members seem to think that if we have a major emergency, fire, earthquake, flood or health crisis that we could all go to the Hillsdale Mall. Outside of Bay Meadows, there is no other local venue large enough to house over 2,000 people except local schools. Let's all please consider a NEW City Council that will care about San Mateo residents and what will happen to all of us in a large catastrophy... we will all need someplace to go that is accessible by helicopters and freeways and that is the current BAY MEADOWS RACETRACK. Santa Anita was a great and logical place to house people in Southern California during the recent fires and since we have no local ballpark large enough for San Mateo residents, please consider the question - "Where will WE go?"
