Who in their right mind would want Sheriff Munks overseeing the minor children of "illegal residents" after he apparently sought out and took advantage of underage, illegal sex slaves - are we going to let the fox guard the henhouse?

Sheriff greg Munks and Carlos Bolanos would love that.
The latino community does not know about the April 21, 2007....detainment of our Sheriff. Operation Doll House...Las Vegas...Human Trafficking/Slaves.

Remind me what charges he faces in Nevada...for some reason I thought he was not arrested.

charges in Clark County, NV.
We are all in agreement that Sheriff Greg Munks and Undersheriff Carlos Bolanos were not charged with any crime by any law enforcement branch...
That includes the FBI, INS, Human Trafficking/Slavery division lead by Terri Miller of the Las Vegas Metro Police, which received a Federal Grant to fund that division..It seems Human Trafficking/Slavery in Las Vegas is big.
Las Vegas Metro Police Spokesperson Bill Cassell has stated to the press that he has them both inside the residence and has the both as customers....
He is referring to Munks and Bolanos......
Also it should be noted that they were not even mentioned as being detained for the first couple of days in the newspapers.
I hope that clears up the no charges misleading statement.
I think the ordinary people in San Mateo County will draw their own conclusion as to why no arrest/charges.......

Just a reminder - the "Johns" were released. The "Illegal" sex slaves turned out to include children brought into this country illegally to staff the illegal brothel that Sheriff Munks sought out for a "massage." He must have found the establishment to be just what he wanted because we know that he stayed in the filthy house. We know that he did not use his position in law enforcement to attempt an arrest of the operators of the establishment and free the children. We also know that he did not call fellow law enforcement groups to report the child abuse. We know these things because of LVPD accounts of this evening, as well as the accounts of others involved, including Munks' driver.
We also know that using children in this manner would result in most men being arrested, labeled a pedophile and sex offender and subject to the penalties of Megan's Law.

Actually, what is misleading is your post. No charges were filed and in case. Being detained could mean anything from an arrest with no charges to being asked not to leave the scene for a short time. Simple detainment does not equal arrest and detainment and/or arrest does not guarantee any charges filed.
And, customers can mean a person inside who has not yet purchased any servcies. For charges to be brought, they would have to have agreed upon a price for services and exchanged money. It is unclear if they got that far - it is my understanding they did not, as the raid went down just a brief moment after they entered the building.
Ordinary people of San Mateo will draw their own conclusions about the Las Vegas incident. What the Sheriff and Undersheriff did was wrong and the story they have tried to pass off is wrong and I believe the should tell the truth.
