School's out, and crime is on the rise here in North Fair Oaks, again.
Though I can't blame the Gilligan Robber's bank robbing and wife-murdering spree on school being out, the fatal stabbing of his wife just a block away from where I live has helped to herald in a new season of shootings, gang dealings, and thievery, basically all around me.
Just yesterday a jewelry store a couple blocks away was robbed by three masked, armed kids. My neighbors.
I wonder if this summer's evenings will be marked by perpetual fireworks, businesses operating in residential zones, commercial vehicles parked all over the place, people burning used motor oil in the middle of intersections for entertainment purposes, and late, late night drag-racing up and down the residential streets, like last summer.
