Can anyone explain to me why Armando Benitez is still the Giants' closer?
Closers — a la Beck and Nen — have nerves of steel and a command of any situation. Why else did they play "Smoke on the water" when Nenn came in?
When Benitez comes in the game on the road, the stadium sound staff may as well play "Happy days are here again!" or "Ooops I did it again" or "You had a bad day."
I hope I never see Benitez and his stupid grimace, lame thread-beard or ridiculous baggy uniform with the Giants' colors again. Send him to the Dodgers for a package of Dodger dogs and a roll of tape for as far as I'm concerned. E-Town, any thoughts?
