Commission Approves Bike Bridge Plan

The San Mateo Public Works Commission took action to move a proposed pedestrian/bicycle bridge at Hillsdale/101 to City Council for addition to the Circulation Element of its General Plan (See May 10 edition). If you are interested to find out why a bicyclist (not "hard core") thinks this is an ill-advised venture and wants further study of this project please e-mail me at: hogorni@yahoo.com and I will provide the statements that I made to the PWC. I have supported this proposal for many years since I need to bike to and from Marine World Parkway. That is a prime bike commuting corridor due to Oracle but it is too unsafe as it is now designed.

Please send me your information so that I can understand why you might want to oppose such a slendid proposal.
