I think I have found one of the people responsible. His name is Gerry Hillard.


Gerry Hilliard, managing attorney for the Private Defender Program at juvenile court. said

"It comes as a shock. I don't believe it," he said of the allegations.

"I would use him today had he not retired."

The problem here is Gerry is making this statement to a reporter 9 months after Dr. William Ayres has settled a civil suit of molestation, and he has already sold his house in Burlingame to pay for it.

If Gerry Hillard is still employed by the Private Defender Program today I recommend he be removed at once.

Personally, I would like Gerry Hilliard to contact each and every boy who was evaluated by Ayres, courtesy of the private defenders in his association. So far, I haven't heard Hilliard or any other private defender vow to get to the bottom of how many boys were harmed by Ayres.

I still shudder when I think of Hilliard's quote last year to reporters: " I would send my own grandchildren to Ayres."

Gerry Hilliard and his San Mateo Private Defenders group fed boys to Ayres like there was no tomorrow. - for years ! And Hilliard as late as a few months ago was defending Ayres. I would like to know why Hilliard and his group are not making the effort to reach out to the boys they sent to Ayres to see if Ayres molested them ( We all know they were.)I hate to keep hammering on this issue, but these juveniles are the victims who are the least likely to come forward. Suffering from low self-worth to begin with, you just know they feel that no one will believe them if they come come forward.

Is anyone out there interested in getting to the bottom of just how many boys were molested by Ayres ? The word coming from the DA's office is that they think it's the biggest case of child abuse ever in the history of San Mateo County. I would like to hear from more people on this forum. Who out there is outraged ? What are you willing to do to get to the bottom of how many kids in your County were molested ? You can't just rely on the San Mateo PD and the DA's office - there needs to be some citizen activism going on here. Because it is obvious that San Mateo County made the exact same mistakes as the Catholic Church - ignoring the red flags, warning signs and complaints from kids for years.

San Mateo citizens - what are you willing to do to rectify this egregious tragedy ? I would like to hear from some new people - seems like it's always the same reliable stand-bys who respond - Stogner, Shadow, Nitamac. Anyone else out there - anyone ?

Hilliard and Juvenile Judge Marta Diaz are good pals.Hilliard is also pals with Ayres. Like Diaz, Hilliard fed kids to Ayres. How come he hasn't come out and made any statement that talks about how horrible child molestation is ? One would think since he found the time to speak to reporters about how trustworthy Ayres is, he would now find the time to say something on behalf of all those boys he sent to Ayres was molested. As the head of Juvenile Defenders, he is supposed to be defending juveniles.

The lack of spine in him and Diaz and everyone else who sent boys to Ayres and who have not said a peep about this scandal -- is shameful.

And all the adult and child psychiatrists and pediatricians in San Mateo who knew for years that Ayres was undressing kids and showing them "Anatomical drawings" and suspected he was doing worse - well, they broke the law by not coming forward.

Someone out there needs to call for a County Grand Jury investigation into this mess. It's just as bad as the Catholic Church scandal in Massachusetts- where all the bishops knew that priests were molesting boys and did nothing
