I'm curious as to why both of the two local "freebie" dailies chose to run articles about the brazen theft of two paintings that were being exhibited on the hospital's walls without running the clear security photos of the perp's face along with the article. Is there some legal reason as to why her photo cannot be published? (Friends have told me that they've seen her photo on the television news, BTW.)
I volunteer at the Peninsula Museum of Art in Twin Pines Park, Belmont, and we've had this photo on hand--and placed in a prominent spot--for at least a couple of weeks. If anyone is curious to see it, come by any afternoon, Wednesday through Sunday, and the volunteer docent will show you around this wonderful, century-old building. (The Belmont Arts Council's "Seascapes" exhibit will run through 4/29. The other main gallery there is currently in-between exhibits; the new Ruth Dickinson retrospective will begin its run on 5/2.)
