The county should have never sent another child to this "CHO-MO" after knowing he was accused of Molesting children they are just as guilty as the doctor i feel. This just showed me what i have felt is true about San mateo Juvenile system they just do not give a F__k about our young boys and girls they just rather throw them in prison! That is why are prisons are so over crowded County's like San Mateo making money on our children being housed by them.

I would like to see the administration at Hillcrest contact the hundreds and hundreds of boys who were evaluated by Ayres in the last 20 years. It is unconscionable that they have not made the effort to get to the bottom of how many boys were abused there. I saw an interview with the San Mateo DA's office in which they say they believe that most of Ayres' victims were juveniles. Also Steve Wagstaffe is quoted as saying that Ayres threatened a juvenile if he ever told:"Who's going to believe you - a troubled youth - over me ?'
The arrogance of Ayres is just appalling. If any juveniles who were molested are reading this and who were molested by Ayres, please, please, contact prosecutor Melissa McKowan: 650-363-4774.

Who sent the boys to Dr. Ayres at Hillcrest in the first place ? It was Judge Marta Diaz . Reporters also know that Ayres and Diax are close social friends and that somehow, in 2002, when the cops were investigating Ayres, Diaz found out and was going around the courthouse telling people that the cops "better be real careful" investigating Ayres because he was a good friend of hers. Aren't juvenile judges supposed to be looking out for juveniles ? Why has she not said anything about the Ayres arrest ? Her predecessor Margaret Kemp did. She gave an interview to the Chronicle and talked about how tragic it was. Diaz won't talk to reporters about Ayres. Does she still believe that her pal Ayres didn't molest kids, and all those 41 victims who have come forward are lying ? If she cares so much about the welfare of juveniles, she should call for an investigation as to how this was allowed to happen...And by the way, why did she continue to send boys like lambs to the slaughter to Ayres for at least two years after she knew the cops were investigating Ayres ?
There was a scandal at a juvenile hall in Texas about how kids were being molested there. But the juvenile scandal at Hillcrest is so much worse. The prosecutors believe that the bulk of Ayres' victims came from Hillcrest and that most of them will never come forward - either because Ayres threatened them or they feel they won't be believed. Why isn't the County looking into the Diaz/Ayres/Hillcrest problem ? How many kids did Ayres see there? And aren't there some psychologists and psychiatrists and pediatricians in San Mateo who knew what Ayres was doing and failed to report him, by law ? Why isn't anyone looking into this ? And while we're looking at people, I would take a good look at Gerry Hilliard, the head of the San Mateo PRrivate Defenders group, who sent kids to Ayres. He has defended Ayres in the press, saying he would send his own grandchildren to him. How come he hasn't said anything when Ayres was arrested ?
San Mateo County has a lot of 'splaining to do. But it seems like they are still asleep at the wheel over this scandal, which many believe is far bigger than we know.

We San Mateo County have a current case of a Probation Department Employee having sex with 2 of our wards.
The Sheriff Department and the Probation Department, and District Attorneys office are protecting the Probation Department Employee more then the children.
They closed the investigation without notifing all the parents.

Last August a counselor in a group home in San Mateo pled guilty to sexually abusing adolescent boys there. We are talking very serious sexual abuse. These boys had come from Hillcrest Juvenile Hall to the group home. Though the counselor was a known sexual predator , the probation officer at Hillcrest OK'd the counselor at the group home. This counselor is now doing time in San Quentin.
The question is: why didn't Steve Wagstaffe in the DA's office include this case in his daily Media Notes to reporters ? Could it be because it would make the County look bad ? Shame on the DA's office for not alerting the reporters to this case.

Shadow, Do you have a name, case number or date, and were there any news articles of this case?
San Mateo County Law Enforcement and Probation Department have a very close bond as demonstrated in the Trip to Las Vegas.. this last April 21, 2007...54 County Employees went, 25 were Probation, 3 DA's, the rest were Sheriff Deputies, SWAT, and of course the Operation Dollhouse sting caught
Sheriff Greg Munks and UnderSheriff Carlos Bolanos as CUSTOMERS of Human Trafficking sex slaves.........
The Carlos Ordonez case below, the investigation was done by the Probation Department.....Were the parents of all girls at Hillcrest even notified that a Probation Department Employee was caught having sex with a ward? I doubt it.....

The name of the defendant in the group home case is Cardell Brown.
Case : SC064249. File date: 8/3/2007. Prosecutor was Melissa McKowan.
5 adolescent boys from Hillcrest sent to group home where they were sexually abused - raped. Brown was a counselor at the group home. Brown was a convicted felon and known sexual predator at the time the group home hired. Probation officer from Hillcrest OKd the transfer.
Brown threatened to send the boys back to Hillcrest if they spoke up about abuse.
Brown now doing 4 years in San Quentin.
Not one news story on this. Steve Wagstaffe omitted this case from his daily "Media Notes" to the press. Why, I do not know.
It seems indeed strange when you consider that he includes cases in his media notes like the ice cream vendor man who kisses a 9 year old girl.
The Cardell Brown case is more serious.. Did they hush this up because it makes the County look bad ?

James P. Fox, Steve Wagstaffe, Sheriff Greg Munks, Loren Budress, Protect certain people....Steve Wagstaffe should put all cases to the media and let the reporters and editors decide which to publish......Instead of omission.
San Mateo County employees have been protecting themselves instead of protecting the children and other victims. We are lucky to have Prosecutor Melissa McKowan she is honest in her work in my opinion.
We are also lucky that Victoria caused the Dr. William Ayres case......
Thank You Victoria
