I cant believe there's actually a sport with less credibility than pro baseball! Might as well just throw out all the drug rules and have enhanced athletes competing in the bicycling. They can all be sponsored by the zillion dollar multinational pharma industry. And Bonds can be the poster boy.

Maybe try getting your flabby rump on a race bike and work that grueling course. Lance Armstrong looked like a corpse when he was through. It could be the most grueling sport ever. Three weeks of hundred+ miles per day over hills and rough terrain. You might have to drink a latte or two less to make the grade.

Or maybe I can inject myself with some cheetah hormones or mule testosterone to beat all the drugged up, chemically enhanced competitors. Why do they even bother to have rules agaainst doping or steroids? Just run the competition for what it really is -- a free for all to get any edge you can.

:D Good point. But I say let's wait and see. I don't trust that these tests are all that accurate. I tend to think these bikers KNOW that they will be tested. If this one cheated then the next one will win and I am sure be tested rigorously.

I still don't buy their protests of innocence! :)

Sadly, I think that most of the time, the best performers in most sports use something that gives them an unfair advantage.

Looks like Diamond Dog is right...that biker got disqualified due to his drug enhancement. Damn!

What makes me wonder though is why this guy loaded up on the last day of the race? Why not the other days? Makes one wonder.

This could be the perfect conspiracy case for Michael Stogner. Except as far as I can see the District Attorney was not in France during the race.

This is the one time I wish I wasn't right... cuz I'm always rightt. :)

What do you think about having two separate leagues for every sport? One version would be Regular - no enhancements, the other would be free for all take whatever supplements and drugs you want to at whatever risk you're willing to take.

Of course, you'd still get bastards who try to take drugs even in the drug free league, but you could offset that by having serious consequences for getting caught.

And now Marion Jones. Yesterday, the ahem, world recordholder for the 100 gets banned for EIGHT YEARS!

Man, what a rough summer for ethical sport competition!!!

Who's next? How about a top basketball player? A football star? A champion curler? Spelling bee runner up? Texas hold'em winnner?
