View Full Version : Carlmont Girls Win Ccs!!!

The Carlmont Girls basketball team made the PAL and San Mateo County proud last night by winning the CCS Division 1. The final score was 50-39. The game saw a CCS record broken by Melissa Ho with 6 three pointers.

This was the second CCS title in three years for Carlmont (20-8), the only San Mateo County boys or girls team to win a CCS title this weekend.

Not to take anything away from the Scots, but the DI field was the weakest field in all of CCS. If the Scots didn't win the whole thing, there would be a problem.

If you doubt me, check the NorCal seedings. Carlmont is seeded 7th despite being a section champ. I expect Carlmont to win its first game against Washington-SF but to be bounced in the second round.

It really doesn't matter to Carlmont fans! And yes---they may get beat after the first round of NorCals, but it's still sweet to win CCS.
You can't take that away from them.

Amen! At least someone in San Mateo County won a championship!

Off to the NorCals tonight at Carlmont.

Carlmont Girls beat Washington last night in the first round of NorCals.

I believe this is Carlmont's first NorCal win in history!

They're off to Sacramento for a Thursday 7p game against McClatchy of Sacto.

Whatever happens happens, but let's be proud of our local public high school!
