Then wouldn't it be fair if we also ban smoking pot in public ONLY.

What about alcohol. Ponder This:
“Liquor is responsible for 19% of the divorces, 25% of the poverty, 25% of the insanity, 37% of the pauperism, 45% of child desertion, and 50% of the crime in this country,” . “And this,” it concluded , “ is a very conservative estimate” (Odegard, 1928: 60).
When was the last time a child was deserted because of smoking?

Not only that but one martini emits into the air more carcinogens than a cig. You can't smell it or see it but it's there.

Can't we agree on one thing? Smoking although legal does emit odors that others may not want to experience. This is just a matter of courtesy.

Happens all the time. The parent(s) die of lung cancer.

Prove it. I did a search for that info, and can find nothing but message board postings and uneducated opinions. I did find one post that pointed out that for ethyl alcohol to be considred a carcinogen, it has to be consumed. That person provided a link. The people posting what you have posted just try to pass off their opinions as fact, without backing it up at all.

“Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways in a cloud of smoke, chocolate in one hand, glass of wine in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming WOO HOO what a ride!” Hunter Thompson
