Wow. Way to be totally unprepared coming off a bye week. Less than a quarter into their game with Chicago, they find themselves behind 24-0, turned the ball over three times and continue to look inept on defense.

Until the Niners get some -- any -- playmakers on defense, this team is going nowhere in a hurry.

They signed CB Shawntae Spencer to a long-term deal? Did Terry Donahue slip back into the 49er building in Santa Clara and pull that off?

At least now I can take my daughter to the pumpkin patch today without fear of missing a Niner win.
