Last week, President George W. Bush signed the Military Commissions Act of 2006. This law effectively and literally suspends YOUR privilege of the Writ of Habeas Corpus.
The new act allows the government to legally arrest ANY American citizen, strip him of his citizenship, hold him indefinitely without charges, try him in front of a military tribunal, and/or execute him... ...all WITHOUT the authority of a court's determination of whether or not he is imprisoned lawfully and whether or not he should be released from custody.
What a fear-mongering administration this is.
