Letter: Resolution of tolerance
February 07, 2017, 05:00 AM Letter

Editor,

The OP-ED piece on Feb. 3 by San Mateo Mayor David Lim on tolerance and understanding is a tribute to the San Mateo City Council and Mayor Lim in standing up for those of us who come from diverse immigrant backgrounds and love our country. His proposed resolution of tolerance echoes what every citizen should stand for and our new president should be tweeting this message instead of the divisive and mean-spirited thoughts ad hominem.

On another note, it is a shame we are losing Councilman Lim for his last term — he should reconsider another run for office.
