Standing up for Democrats
August 16, 2014, 05:00 AM

Editor,

I learned a valuable lesson while reading Mike Brown’s letter “Democrats “No Border” policy” in the Aug. 14 edition of the Daily Journal. The lesson is only drink your coffee while you are in between letters. When I got to the last line of the letter, “... it’s not right and sends the message that Democrats selectively follow laws they want and disregard others.” I nearly choked and spilled my coffee over myself and the paper.

Obviously, Brown is not a fan of political history or he would know that any trickery and deceit practiced by the Democrats was learned from the Republicans. Truth, ethics and honesty are words that have long been banished from the GOP dictionary. “Do as I say, not as I do” is their motto and hypocrisy is the Republican standard.

Daily Journal Quick Poll

Now that the Giants have won three World Series titles in five years, would you say they are a dynasty?

Absolutely, yes
I would think so
Maybe one more would make them a dynasty
I don't like the word dynasty
Madison Bumgarner is a dynasty!
