Letter: Two-faced Americans
August 05, 2014, 05:00 AM Letter

Editor,

How many civilians did the United States kill when delivering the “Shock and Awe” bombing of Iraq? We learned “collateral damage” meant civilian deaths, and it was unavoidable in the greater goal of stopping evil.

Why now do we criticize the only democracy in the Middle East, when they respond to missile attacks from terrorists and incur collateral damage of some of the human shields? How two-faced can we get? Why do we hold Israel to a higher standard than our own?

Daily Journal Quick Poll

What do you think of the pending closure of Tpumps in downtown San Mateo?

Surprised, it was super popular
Makes sense, the shop was too small
Hope they find their way back to San Mateo soon
There are plenty of other boba tea places
Glad, boba drinks make the sidewalks a sticky mess
