Letter: Keep Michaels Arts and Crafts in San Mateo
November 30, 2013, 05:00 AM Letter

Editor,

I recently learned that the Delaware Avenue Michaels is seeking to move to the old Borders location at 2925 S. El Camino Real in San Mateo.

As a Burlingame resident and avid paper-crafter, I wholeheartedly support the move. I shop at Michaels about once a week, and when big projects come up, sometimes more often. I know many friends who do the same, and would find it very inconvenient to drive to Redwood City or Colma for our crafting and baking needs. There is no other store in the mid-Peninsula that provides the variety and prices that Michaels does.

I am hopeful that the San Mateo City Council will approve the new Michaels location at 2925 S. El Camino Real.
