With the election for Burlingame City Council just around the corner, I wanted to suggest to my neighbors that they consider the two incumbents as being worthy of re-election.
Both Ann Keighran and Michael Brownrigg have worked to strengthen Burlingame’s budgetary issues and to reign in expenses. They’ve been vigilant in addressing the concerns of the community regarding high-speed rail and do not want the community divided in half.
During her tenure on the City Council, Ann Keighran has helped foster a measure of unity with her colleagues. Both Ms. Keighran and Mr. Brownrigg have demonstrated a good grasp of the issues facing Burlingame in the immediate and long-term future. As both are responsive to community members, residents and business-people alike, I appreciate their willingness to listen to concerns raised by constituents.
As for the third open seat on the council, after reading that Mr. Cohen’s mother has endorsed Russ, I’m leaning toward voting for him. (He was on the council once-upon-a-time and he brings a somewhat different perspective to City Council).
