Letter: Conservative hero
June 17, 2013, 05:00 AM

Editor,

I would like to hail the new darling of the conservative movement. A man who stands for traditional values. A man unashamed of his desire to increase the influence of old time fundamental religion in politics. A man openly disdainful of his nations godless, liberal intellectuals, artists and students. I give you a man who can rightfully claim the cherished title of “Kindred Spirit, International Division” at the next Tea Party Convention. Ladies and Gentleman, I give you Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan. There’s likely some DJ readers saying to themselves, “If it weren’t for his fundamentalism being muslim, by golly we have a lot in common.”
