Glenn A. Stewart

Glenn A. Stewart, born Nov. 22, 1925, in Palo Alto, California, died peacefully at his home May 2, 2017.

Glenn served in World War II from June 1943 to August 1946 where he earned a Bronze Star and Purple Heart. After serving in the U.S. Army he attended San Jose State College where he carried a double major of accounting and economics. Glenn worked as a CPA for his entire career retiring from Burlingame Elementary School District in 1989.

Glenn loved to ski and in retirement took up lawn bowling. Glenn was an usher at Peninsula Covenant Church for 50 years.

Glenn was married to the love of his life, Rita for 51 years. Together they raised two children, Keith and Lynne. Glenn is survived by his daughter Lynne, her husband Kevin Heuer, and grandchildren Kimberly and Timothy. Glenn is also survived by three nephews, two nieces and one sister-in-law and their families.

A service will be 2 p.m. June 2, at Peninsula Covenant Church, Redwood City.

Arrangements by Crippen & Flynn Woodside Chapel, Redwood City.
