Woman, 67, found dead at beach identified
August 17, 2016, 05:00 AM

A woman who was found floating in the surf of a Pacifica beach Sunday evening has been identified as 67-year-old Chia-Yi Wu, according to the San Mateo County Coroner’s Office.

Paramedics discovered Wu, of Moraga, after receiving a report of a dead body at the south end of Sharp Park Beach around 7:40 p.m., police said.

Paramedics were able to pull her to shore and attempted life-saving measures, but she was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.

Wu was staying with friends in Orinda and was reported missing to police just hours before her body was discovered, according to police.
