City government

• The San Carlos Community Development Department is holding an open house to celebrate the opening of its new development services center. Visitors can meet staff and see a live demonstration of the new zoom-in-on-zoning interactive map and eTrakit building permit services.

The event is 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 11 at City Hall, 600 Elm St., San Carlos.

• The Redwood City Council will hold a study session on its budget and set a June 23 public hearing before adopting the document.

The council meets 7 p.m. Monday, June 9 at City Hall, 1017 Middlefield Road, Redwood City.
