House fire displaces four, injures one
December 04, 2013, 05:00 AM Bay City News Service

One person was hospitalized and four residents were displaced after a house fire in Pacifica Tuesday afternoon, North County Fire Authority officials said.

The fire was reported at 12:42 p.m. in the 300 block of Genevieve Ave., according to fire officials.

Firefighters arrived to smoke and flames coming from the second-floor bedroom. Crews opened the roof to fight the fire, which was contained to the bedroom, officials said.

Crews stayed at the home for about one and a half hours to monitor any spread.

No firefighters were injured but one resident suffered smoke inhalation and was taken to Seton Medical Center in Daly City, officials said.

The four residents will be living with friends and relatives, officials said.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
