Man drowns after dumping pot crab into sea
September 03, 2013, 05:00 AM Bay City News Service

Authorities say a man drowned in Tomales Bay after he fell over the side of a boat while dumping a crab pot into the water.

The man apparently dropped the pot Sunday morning, and didn’t realize that his leg had become tangled in a rope attached to the pot.

He was pulled overboard and dragged under by the weight of the pot.

Rescue crews later found his body. His name was not immediately released.
