The 4200 block of West Middlefield Road was shut down after a cement truck crashed and the driver was found dead around 5:10 a.m., police said.

Officer responded to the area and found the driver and sole occupant, inside the truck. He was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

The cause of the accident is under investigation. No other vehicles were involved and no other injuries were reported, police said.

Police do not know if drugs or alcohol were a factor in the incident.
