City government

• The San Carlos City Council will consider a recommendation to amend its contract with City Manager Jeff Maltbie retroactive to March 25 that increases the severance payment from six to 12 months salary for termination without cause, increases his monthly salary to $18,878, increases the monthly auto allowance to $500 and increases vacation allowance from 22 to 25 days per year. The City Council meets 7 p.m. Monday, June 10 at City Hall, 600 Elm St., San Carlos.
