The body of a 36-year-old San Francisco woman who went missing in February was found in Pacifica with a gunshot wound and San Bruno police are investigating the death as foul play.
Cecilia Zamora’s decomposed body was discovered on Gateway Drive in Pacifica Saturday, April 27. Authorities did not release any further information about the nature of her death or how long she may have been deceased but San Bruno police say they do not believe the crime was a random act.
San Bruno police began investigating Zamora’s disappearance after being alerted on Saturday, Feb. 16 that she went missing from San Francisco on Feb. 12 and might be at a cousin’s residence in the city. Officers didn’t find her but also received information she might have been the victim of assault while in San Bruno.
She was last seen in San Francisco at a home in the 300 block of Colby Street on Feb. 9 at 7:30 p.m.
