May 19, 2014, 05:00 AM

Greta Lambert

Junipero Serra High School graduate Joshua Marx (center), an intern at the Alabama Shakespeare Festival, plays Mercutio in ASF’s spring 2014 touring production of “Romeo and Juliet.” Marx, who studied Theatre and Animation at San Jose State before being accepted into Rutgers University’s prestigious MFA in Acting program, also acts and understudies in the Festival’s main stage shows. The Alabama Shakespeare Festival, housed in the Carolyn Blount Theatre in Montgomery, Alabama, is among the ten largest Shakespeare festivals in the world. It presents classical works, contemporary plays, musicals, and new works commissioned by the Festival’s Southern Writers Project.
