CASA garden party
September 16, 2013, 05:00 AM

Tom Jung

The Auxiliary for CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) of San Mateo County sponsored a benefit Garden Party in Hillsborough Aug. 25 to support CASA's efforts in partnering caring adults with children who have come under the protection of the courts because their parents can’t or won’t take care of them. For many children, their Special Advocate may be the one constant adult presence in their life – an adult who cares only for them, provides companionship and consistency, and encourages special interests. Information about volunteering to be a CASA Special Advocate can be found at www.casaofsanmateo.org. Among those who attended the Aug. 25 Garden Party were (left to right) Auxiliary Member Vicky King, CASA Executive Director Pat Miljanich, Auxiliary Member Judy Stephenson, Sponsor John Stephenson, Auxiliary Member Jenny Keleher, and Event Co-Chairs Linda Hoffman and Nancy Rowe.

Daily Journal Quick Poll

Now that the Giants have won three World Series titles in five years, would you say they are a dynasty?

Absolutely, yes
I would think so
Maybe one more would make them a dynasty
I don't like the word dynasty
Madison Bumgarner is a dynasty!
