Tom Jung

After 35 years of preparing students to earn their General Education Development (GED) Diplomas, Jan Becker, center, is retiring from the San Mateo Adult School. Becker was honored during a special presentation at the Adult School Graduation Ceremony held at the College of San Mateo on June 19. Seen beside her are two of her former students, Caesar Cruz, left, and Eunice Aguilar, right, both of whom were honored at the 2012 California GED Conference as two of the state’s five outstanding GED graduates.
