Man, 19, fatally shot in East Palo Alto

East Palo Alto police are investigating a homicide from Monday evening, a police sergeant said.

Officers responded to reports of a man down in the 2200 block of Dumbarton Avenue at 7:17 p.m., Sgt. Jeff Liu said.

Police found a 19-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound, Liu said.

Paramedics rendered aid to the victim who succumbed to his injuries at the scene, he said.

The victim was identified as Josue Barbosa Zamora of East Palo Alto, Liu said.
