A 23-year-old San Mateo man was killed and another person was wounded during a rollover collision on state Highway 1 in Half Moon Bay this morning, according to sheriff's deputies.

The crash of a white 1998 Nissan four-door sedan was reported at about 12:40 a.m. on state Highway 1 near Spindrift Way, according to San Mateo County Sheriff's Deputy Rebecca Rosenblatt.

A man, identified by the San Mateo County Coroner's Office as Omar Cervantescruz, was ejected from the car and pronounced deceased at the scene of the crash.

A second occupant of the vehicle suffered injuries and was transported to a hospital via ambulance, Rosenblatt said.

The road reopened at about 4:30 a.m., according to Rosenblatt.

The cause of the collision remains under investigation this morning, according to the Rosenblatt.
