DemocracyForAmerica.com, a national progressive political action organization, endorsed democrat Richard Holober for the 19th district state Assembly seat currently held by Assemblyman Gene Mullin. Holober, president of the San Mateo County Community College District, faces Supervisor Jerry Hill and Millbrae Mayor Gina Papan for the democratic primary nomination in June.

“Richard Holober is a proven champion for better schools, environmental protection and affordable health care. Democracy for America is proud to endorse his campaign, said DFA Chair Jim Dean. “Richard Holober is just the type of leader we need in Sacramento.”

DFA cites Holober’s background in education and fighting for health care coverage, affordable prescription drugs and education.
