Masseur charged with fondling client
December 11, 2008, 12:00 AM By Michelle Durand

A masseur at a Foster City massage clinic is accused of inappropriately touching and orally copulating a female client after which he asked the woman if she was offended, according to prosecutors who charged him with three misdemeanor counts of sexual battery.

LaVarr Anderson, 30, was employed at Massage Envy when, on Dec. 5, a client told Foster City police he placed his hands over and inside her underwear before pulling them down and performing oral copulation, according to Chief Deputy District Attorney Steve Wagstaffe.

Anderson’s current employment status is unknown.

A manager at Massage Envy last night said she had no comment.

The woman told police she immediately sat up from the table and Anderson asked if he offended her, Wagstaffe said.

After returning to work, the woman’s co-workers encouraged her to report the alleged incident to police.

Anderson was arrested Dec. 9 on a $30,000 warrant and pleaded not guilty to all charges yesterday. He asked for a court-appointed attorney and returns to court Dec., 19 for a pretrial conference and Jan. 5 for jury trial.

Anderson remains in custody.
